The Financial Inclusion for Last Mile Actors ( FILMA) program is designed to address a number of interconnected challenges currently faced by young women and youth interested in the Agriculture and Agric-Adjacent Sectors (AAAS). These challenges are particularly prevalent in rural areas.
FILMA aims to stimulate entrepreneurship, increase productivity and create sustainable economic opportunities by empowering financially excluded young women and persons with disabilities.
The goal is to reach 100,000 young people, aged 15 to 35 across 18 districts in the Volta, Oti, Bono-East, and Northern Regions to attain dignified and fulfilling work, with a focus on providing 80,000 jobs of the 100,000 people reached, 70% would be young women, and 5% would be persons with disabilities.
