Technical Outreach Manager

Job Description:

The Technical Outreach Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical outreach efforts aimed at disseminating knowledge, training, and best practices to farmers and stakeholders on a 4 year “Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for the Youth” (HAPPY) project that aims to increase agricultural productivity, value addition and create jobs for youth and women along the Rice and Soybean value chains in Ghana. This role requires strong technical expertise, communication skills and the ability to facilitate capacity building within rural communities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field; Advanced Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural extension, technical outreach, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of modern agricultural practices, crop management, pest control, and soil health.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of technical experts and extension officers.
• Experience in designing and conducting training sessions and workshops.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to track and measure the impact of technical outreach efforts.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with local communities, farmers, and stakeholders.
• Adaptability and willingness to work in rural areas and travel as needed.
