Soybean Production Manager

Job Description:

The Soybean Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful cultivation and management of soya crops on the designated 8,000 hectares on a 4-year “Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for the Youth” (HAPPY) project that aims to increase agricultural productivity, value addition and create jobs for youth and women along the Soybean value chain in Ghana.  This role requires a deep understanding of soybean farming practices, effective team management, and a commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field; Advanced Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in soybean cultivation and management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in modern soybean farming practices, including seed treatment, crop rotation, and integrated pest management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret agricultural data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in using agricultural software and technology for planning and reporting.
