Senior Accountant

Job Description:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing strategic financial guidance on a 4-year “Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for the Youth” (HAPPY) project that aims to increase agricultural productivity, value addition and create jobs for youth and women along the Soybean and Rice value chains in Ghana.  This role involves managing financial transactions, budgeting, financial reporting, and collaborating with various departments to support the successful implementation of the project.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACCA certification is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
