Rice Production Manager

Job Description:

The Rice Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful cultivation and management of rice crops on the designated 10,000 hectares on a 4-year “Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for the Youth” (HAPPY) project that aims to increase agricultural productivity, value addition and create jobs for youth and women along the Rice value chain in Ghana.  This role requires a deep understanding of rice farming practices, effective team management and a commitment to sustainable agriculture.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field; Advanced Degree preferred.
• Proven experience in rice cultivation and management with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of modern rice farming techniques, irrigation systems, and pest management practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using agricultural software and technology for data analysis and reporting.
