Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Job Description:

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the monitoring and evaluation activities for a 4-year “Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for the Youth” (HAPPY) project that aims to increase agricultural productivity, value addition and create jobs for youth and women along the Soybean and Rice value chains in Ghana.  This role requires a strong background in data analysis, project management, and a deep commitment to measuring the project’s impact and effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing M&E systems for development projects, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Profound understanding of M&E methodologies, data analysis techniques, and impact assessment.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in using data analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or similar).
• Effective communication skills to convey findings, recommendations, and progress to various stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data collection and analysis.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with agricultural and rural development projects is a plus.
