Gender Specialist

The Gender Specialist will be responsible for promoting gender equality and ensuring that project initiatives are inclusive and responsive to the needs of both women and men on a 4-year “Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for the Youth” (HAPPY) project that aims to increase agricultural productivity, value addition and create jobs for youth and women along the Rice and Soybean value chains in Ghana. This role involves developing and implementing gender-sensitive strategies, conducting assessments, and fostering a gender-inclusive environment within project activities

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Women’s Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in gender mainstreaming and analysis, with a minimum of 5 years experience in development projects.
• Knowledge of gender-related issues in the agricultural sector is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent communication and training facilitation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusivity.
